Our Staff

Our practice philosophy is to provide assistance specifically tailored to the needs of each client and to provide a solid, stable point of contact when they need help with accounting or tax issues.

Some clients have time and inclination to do most of their bookkeeping themselves.  We work with these clients to assure that they are on the right track as they maintain their books.

Other clients have less time or more complex bookkeeping or payroll needs.  We work with these clients to streamline their work flow, so that their time requirements are minimized as well as their bookkeeping fees.

Tom Singleton, CPA

Mr. Singleton established Monroe Business Services in 1988 to serve the accounting needs of the community of Monroe.  Having been part of an extended family of self-employed individuals, he is very familiar with the financial, tax, and life issues involved in the practice of small business.  Tom's outside interests include serving as committee chair for the local scout troop, radio emergency communications services, and beekeeping.

Cindy Crosbie, Accounting Associate

Cindy joined our staff in 2015 and has enjoyed developing a relationship with many of our clients. Her duties include compilation of financial statements for monthly and quarterly clients, as well as state and federal reports for those clients.  She also has had training and professional experience in the preparation of business and personal income tax returns. She is the primary contact for Quickbook clients and their reporting requirements.  Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, serving in ministry,  and generally learning new things.

Becky Bourland, Accounting Associate

Becky has been with Monroe Business Services since 2004, and really enjoys interacting with her clients. Her primary responsibilities include tax preparation, bookkeeping and payroll processing, and she takes pride in being detail oriented and thorough in her work. She has been married to her husband, Dennis, for over 30 years, and is the mother of two delightful adult children. Her passions include family, involvement at church and getting out into nature to capture the beauty with her camera, as well as the occasional adrenaline rush from high-powered roller coasters.

Wayne Flickinger, Accounting Associate

Wayne has been with MBS over 20 years, and is primarily responsible for dealing with the technicalities of bookkeeping systems, payroll processing, custom spreadsheet work, and computer consulting with our clients.  He works with several of our non-profit clients to assist them in the preparation of financial statements as well as required tax reporting.

Debbie Delahanty,  Admin Associate

Debbie has been with us since 2008 and is responsible for the smooth operation of the office during our busy tax season, January through May.  Debbie is a certified real estate appraiser (Allstar Appraisal Services), and a trained tax preparer as well, so she has a variety of skills from which we draw.  If you visit the local "Y", you may see her serving there as a lifeguard, instructor, or in another capacity.  In what off time she has, she enjoys outdoor activities and skiing in particular.
